| I was looking forward to reading this book when I first got it, but it ended up being a bit disappointing. Felt as though the characters were not very fleshed out and the plot was a little messy until everything came together in the end. Giving 3 stars for the world building, the character YT, and for the action scenes, which were engaging and well written. | ||||

| Really enjoyed this, I cannot imagine the genius of this author's mind!!! He tells a story like no one else, his themes are so original, his characters, so well and fully realized! Brilliant!! | ||||

| You can't say enough about this novel. Pizza in 30 minutes is an American achievement! Love it. | ||||

| A really, really interesting book. I’m going to be thinking about it for a while. Though my first reaction is to say: YT, chill out, you horndog. Otherwise, this novel is a neat AU, with expansive worldbuilding and lots of nice twists and turns. The pacing is excellent throughout, so reading never felt like a chore. The underlying concepts reminded me a lot of the movie Genocidal Organ, so if you like that, you’ll like this (and vice versa). All in all, I enjoyed this book immensely. | ||||

| One of the truly great science fiction novels. Fast paced, exciting, and reads like an action movie written by the smartest, funniest guy you know. | ||||

| 3.5/5 Stars. Interesting book. I found individual elements very entertaining but couldn’t really grasp what was going on until the last 25% of the novel. I found Y.T’s story and character a heck of a lot more interesting than Hero’s, and found the juxtaposition of events, places, and characters confusing at times. That being said, I did read it all the way through, and I was on the whole, glad that I did. | ||||

| One of the most frustrating books I've ever read. I don't really understand what the fuss is about. Maybe his other books are good. | ||||

| Perhaps the best SciFi writer I've ever read. This being his short dimensional vision and Diamond Age being the deeper vision of the age. I highly recommend this novel. | ||||

| Did not enjoy this. One of those books that seems to get on lists and liked by the in-crowd, yet reads like an affected, self conscious stab at I dont know what. Poor. | ||||

| An excellent book that at first I worried was going to be too much like Ready Player One (I realize it was actually a precursor of the latter) but it was very different, and better. A lot of the imagined future holds up surprisingly well given how long ago it was written. | ||||

| Not what I was expecting, written in an interesting style and still has all of the great depth you get in Stephenson’s other works. Would recommend to anyone. | ||||

| Worst book I’ve ever read. About 90% of the weird storyline was completely unnecessary and I honestly read the whole thing in hopes that at some point it would all make sense. It didn’t. I can’t like a story just for the sake of trying to find some creative appreciation of what the author was trying to do. The book was just terrible and I only bought it because it had good reviews and I like sci fi books. Never again. | ||||

| Horrible book, writing and story stile. Why would anyone write a book in this way about Pizza delivery?! A warning to potential buyers. | ||||

| An extremely fun story wrapped up in Sumerian mythology with samurai swords, futuristic internet surfing, thrashers, and the Mafia. It also encapsulates just how paranoid the American government can be. There's quite a bit of satire done from various characters worldviews. This application enhances the personality of certain characters and is definitely a good laugh. Highly recommended. | ||||

| Read this 20 years ago when most of it was science fiction, now it’s more like fiction. Great story of in a very readable way | ||||

| Let's be direct: bought on reputation after reading "Cryptonomicon" and "Anathem", both fairly intellectual. I loved reading Snowcrash, it felt like a graphic novel where text suggests images while you fill in the blanks in the bubbles -- Eric | ||||
