| This is a great, fast paced story. The characters are very well developed, and I could not help but be entertained the whole way through. Like all Neal Stephenson books, the characters really came to life, and the story goes at a great pace. | ||||

| An earlier reviewer remarked that the Kindle edition had problems concerning spelling and formatting. That has been solved now; this edition is fine. It even has real page numbers, so it has obviously been updated since. The book itself is an enjoyable read, despite the problematic writing. But that is par for the course with Neal Stephenson. | ||||

| I have liked all of Neal Stephenson's books. This one is no exception. It places it's story in the context of a world that has been transformed by the web and instant communication. The story is engaging and fun to follow. It still seems "believable" even though it was written back at the advent of the "web as a fact of life". I love science fiction but have never cared all that much for cyber-stories; space opera is more to my liking. This is an exception. It's fun! | ||||

| This is the best cyber punk novel ever written. I think this is NS very best. I recommend it and all NS but I suggest you read this one first. It contains the best virtual sword fight EVER. Hero Protagonist, The Deliverator, what a great name. Pooning sounds like a gas. Think I am going to get out my rebar katana and read it again. EVERYONE wants T R Caspell mr. Toads wild ride. | この小説には様々な、そして魅力的なガジェットが登場する。 超ハイテクスケボーに乗り車の後ろにはりついて依頼品を届ける特急便屋、崩壊した国家に変わり都市を管理するマフィアや企業、そして３DのCGで構築されたネットワーク上の世界『メタ・ヴァース』などなど。 このメタヴァース、残念ながら少しばかり古臭く思える。それは既に私たちがインターネットを知っているから。メタヴァースが、当たり前のオンラインRPGゲームのように見えてしまうから。 でも、この本が書かれたのは1992年で、そのころ日本はまだパソコン通信の時代だった。その頃にこの本が翻訳されていたら！ そこだけが残念で、星を一つ減らしてしまった。でも、とても面白いのは確実。サイバーパンクが好きでアクションが好きで、荒塊無稽なSF的考察が好きなら、絶対おすすめの一冊（二分巻だから二冊か） | ||||
