| I'm really bad at reviewing books. I mean, I either like it, and it goes on my shelf to be read over and over, or it doesn't. This is one of those books I keep reading over and over. In Snow Crash, Stephenson predicts a lot of current and developing technology centered around computers, virtual reality, and the internet. While I wouldn't necessarily describe it as 'cyber-punk' it does share some elements with the genre. I highly suggest everyone reads this book, no matter who you are. | ||||

| A good book for those of a nerdier taste. It was weird in all the right ways. A good dose of sarcasim as the comedic presence.it was strange, weird, and great. | ||||

| Stephensen is a Leader, always has been, still on the edge. One of the 21st Century Masters | ||||

| This writer does a wonderful job predicting the future (the computer now) with lots of twists and turns to keep your attention. Written with wit and humor. | ||||

| One of my favorites ever. Got this as a Kindle version to fit in with the rest of my library. Some very interesting ideas, based on some very dubious science :-) | ||||

| This is a fantastic book - one of my favorite ones. I read it once every few years and am anxiously awaiting a virtual world like this one. Stephenson writes excellent sci fi for sure. | ||||

| Just Like other reviews, starts out great, dies in the middle a whole lot, and picks up at the end | ||||

| So much fun! Great characters, story, everything. As close a book can come to being a movie in your head. | ||||

| Snow Crash is one of the best things I have ever read. This was the third time through it. Neal Stephenson is one of the very best writers of our time. He excels in whatever genre he chooses. | ||||

| Really good. Just read it, okay. If you like writing that uses cool words and makes pictures appear in your imagination this one's for you. | ||||

| The author's writing style didn't particularly suit me. The story concept was good but I felt disconnected with the characters. The first 5-10 chapters felt like a data dump to get you up to speed in the author's universe. It wasn't particularly compelling. | ||||

| Much more digestible than Cryptonomicon. Loved it. Second reading as hadnt read it in a while. Great plotline, typical for this author. | ||||

| I have read many of books by Neal S and heard this was his best. I was underwhelmed. It had potential but fizzled out. | ||||

| A cool, entertaining story that reveals more with each reading. A tribute to the author's now legendary ability to research his subject material. A future fiction that has its roots in the dawn of human civilisation. I felt sorry for the Rat Thing in the end but at least he got to fulfil his destiny with an intensity that most of us can only dream of. | ||||

| Way easier read than anticipated. Hilarious and pulpy. Odd storytelling back-n-forths make for a fun, if occasionally disjointed, romp. Notable for its near-precognitive riffs on the cultural impact of ever-intensifying data proliferation services. | ||||
