| I felt the story and concept were solid and refreshing, very interesting book to read. However I felt as though that description was lacking in most areas, and a lot of the time I wasn't quite sure where things were happening or at the worst of times didn't even know what was happening. I have read in other reviews that this may be down to the kindle version being a pile of trash? Either way, good book and worth the read, but not particularly engaging and hard to get through at times. | ||||

| Terrible! Not worth your time our money. Verisimilitude? None. Suspension of disbelief? Laughable. Plot holes? Swiss cheese like. Author uses the same dumb figure of speech throughout the book: Person X felt the (insert helicopter crash or other loud action movie sound here), before (he or she) heard it. (or something to that effect). Neal Stephenson books? Never again! | ||||

| An amazing romp through a cyberpunk infused tale with a splash of Davinci's Code. The characters weave between their metaverse and their real world as they weave between their computing world, history, and their real world. While at times the historical references I found to be a bit expository. The overall read was a great deal of fun filled with the traditional SF sense of wonder. | ||||

| Beware of the deceptive shipping method they employ. If you want it delivered to your door skip this merchant because you think you're getting UPS but instead you get UPS Surepost which is the the US Postal service. Nothing wrong with that, I suppose, especially if you really like getting your package in 4 days instead of 2, or if you just really like driving yourself to the post office and standing in line while you chat with your neighbors who also used UPS Surepost. | ||||

| I very much enjoyed "Snow Crash." Stephenson's writing style is very fresh and unique. I particularly liked the humor that sometimes just sneaks up on you. Stephenson's world view for the future is "far out" but not that far. The book is very fast paced and a joy to read. | ||||

| I enjoyed the plotline and most of the characters, but I thought that the author at times lingered too much on how much suburbia, corporations, and bureaucracy all are bad things especially in the excesses of this universe. I know some people like that sort of detail, but I didn't care for it. Aside from that particular aspect, I thought this was a very good book and well written. | ||||

| A thrilling story with an odd combination of ninja Mafia pizza delivery and most excellent boarding. I wouldn't want to live in that world. | ||||

| Amazing how prescient Stephenson was. The parts where all the background information gets explained in conversations -- long conversations -- seems more heavy-handed now than it did the first time I read it, but it is still such an exciting and thought-provoking novel. I recommend it to my friends frequently, along with Cory Doctorow's "Little Brother." Also, I have such a crush on Raven... | ||||

| Even today few books could fully realize the impact of "The Net" on our lives. With Gibson, Stephenson started it all. Not only did he make pizza delivery cool, he made hackers even cooler. I dare you not to read this, then want to frame "The worlds baddest ..." | ||||

| started soon to get boring, when I reached the guy with the tactical nuke in his sidecar I stopped further reading as a plot for a fast paced graphic novel maybe useable btw I remember a novel from the eighties where a girl with blue hair in an endtime world meets a: yes you're right, an Aleutan with a tactical nuke in his sidecar .... | ||||

| This book has a rather inventive and complicated story line, but it takes awhile before the story line manifests itself. Once it does, it can be rather tricky to follow the story. But, it's inventive. Really a book that you have to read in a short period of time, as reading it over an extended period would make it harder to follow. | ||||

| This is a great, fast paced story. The characters are very well developed, and I could not help but be entertained the whole way through. Like all Neal Stephenson books, the characters really came to life, and the story goes at a great pace. | ||||

| I love Stephenson. His subject matter is original and thought provoking and his pacing leads you through the book before you know it. However, be ready for abrupt endings that don't always answer all (or any) of your questions. | ||||

| Best book I've read in a long time. Stephenson weaves a dystopian future like no other. Well worth reading if you have the chance. | ||||

| An earlier reviewer remarked that the Kindle edition had problems concerning spelling and formatting. That has been solved now; this edition is fine. It even has real page numbers, so it has obviously been updated since. The book itself is an enjoyable read, despite the problematic writing. But that is par for the course with Neal Stephenson. | ||||
