| 著者の場合、「不連続殺人事件」が知られています。瞬間凍結の機会を1点残した作家らしい設定で、説得力充分の幕切れでした。本作では巻頭にマルコ福音書の一節が掲げられていて、「福音書殺人事件」であり得る展開も予想されるものであったのですが、作者急逝により未完に終わりました。残念です。 この文庫では、高木彬光氏が完結編を創作したものを付してありますので、読者は仮の完成形を楽しむことができます。「白昼の死角」、「わが一高時代の犯罪」など推理小説、犯罪小説の名手であった方なので、別の可能性としてのプロの技をご覧ください。 | ||||

| 坂口安吾の長編ミステリといえば『不連続殺人事件』ですがもう一つの長編が本作『復員殺人事件』です。 掲載誌の廃刊により連載中止、そのまま作者が亡くなってしまい未完に終わった本作。それを別の作家（高木彬光）が書き継ぎ完結させた完全版が本文庫では読めます。 坂口安吾が書いた前半部分は著作権切れにより青空文庫で簡単に読めますが、後半部分まで読むのは坂口安吾全集などを探すしかなかったのでこの復刊は嬉しいです。 惜しむべくは中絶した作品のプロットをそのまま再現した作品ではないというところでしょうか。 安吾が生前語っていたプロットとはかなり違う話で話がまとめられるので、前半部強調されていた「ピストルの行方」など宙に浮いたまま終わる要素が多く木に竹を接いだ印象が後半部分は否めなかったです。 今となっては仕方ないことですが安吾が完結させたバージョンが読まないのが残念です。 解説では安吾が生前語っていた犯人や「樹のごときもの」の正体（彬光が解決部分を書くための質問に安吾夫人が答えた）が載っており、解説者の言うように安吾が完結させていたらどんな展開になっていたのか想像する楽しみがあります。 ※彬光は安吾の文体を真似るなど頑張ってはいるのですが。プロットも簡単な所しか分からず手探りや葛藤の上での執筆であった所も伝わってきて彬光ファンとしても読みどころがありました。そこのところの事情もあとがきで読めます。 | ||||

| This was one of the most interesting books I've ever read. I have already purchased 2 copies to send as gifts to friends and got the audible version so I can listen in the car on my commute to work. I don't usually select contemporary books unless they're mysteries and or crime. I choose this as a First Reads and it's been waiting on my Kindle for a couple of months. Finally got around to starting and it grabbed me from the first page. | ||||

| I don't know why I bought this book as it isn't something I'd usually go for. It is different but I really did enjoy it. It’s been a while since I’ve read a book that I couldn’t put down. This one grabbed me first with the characters then reeled me in with the mystery. "If you're having troubles in life and simply can't figure out what you're doing wrong, this is a fantastic place to start. Good luck on your journey! I wish I had purchased this book sooner." | ||||

| Can you tell, I absolutely loved it! Can't wait to see what the author comes up with next! First of all this is the best writer I have read in a very long time. Thoughts and events are communicated clearly and in each event the writer paints a clear picture in your head Most influential book I’ve ever read! Essential for anyone dealing with other people. Easy to understand. I loved this book. Completely different than I expected, but in a refreshing way. I hate reading reviews that give everything away, so as a heads up, there are no spoilers here. | ||||

| This is such a good book that I actually enjoyed reading, I had been in a reading slump before this book and I could never read self help books! At last a book that grabbed me and I read it in a day. The story is different a nd kept me guessing to the end. Book hangover. Book hangover for days. I had such an emotionally fulfilled feeling at the end of this novel that when I finished the last page, I closed the book, sat back, sighed deeply, and thought, "well, what now? where do I go from here? how do I move on?"...book hangover. | ||||
