I don`t think it was one of her best. Slow getting started. I read for enjoyment.

the product was not in good condition it skipped on several disc. I was very disappointed. I did not like the reader at all.

"N" is for Noose: A Kinsey Millhone Novel Was somewhat below par for the Kinsey Millhone alphabet series. The case was bizarre, the plot moved slowly in places, and the ending was a major stretch.

OK if you are dedicate to reading the whole series (2.5 stars), but otherwise it's a little below average as a mystery.

In case you're interested, here are my ratings for the alphabet mysteries I've read to date.
Top tier (4.5 - 5 stars) - B, F, I, M
Middle tier (3-4 stars) - A, C, D, E, H
Lower tier (2-3 stars) - G, L, N

As you can see, I'm working on the whole series, and they're all fair to very good. BTW, I think individual books in the series can be read as standalone without confusion.

Well, maybe a 3.5 Star - but NOT a 4 Star. Honestly, I was very excited about getting to know Kinsey Milhone the female private investigator. She seemed smart, sharp and strong. But then about half way she became and weak bodied and weak minded female and I wondered what happened to author - did she start writing "O" before finishing "N"? It was like she brushed her aside and made her stupid. Heck, even I was beginning to figure out the plot half way through it and that's not what an author really wants. Too much time and emphasis on the surrounding landscapes and people descriptions and personality assumptions got boring. AND then the holes in the plot - like what you might ask? Well, who made the acid laced brownies in the fridge? That was never covered. Come on, would a guest in your house really go in and eat a wrapped dessert?

This was not one of my favorites, it became long and hard to get through and the whole premise of why the woman wanted Kinsey on the case was bizarre at best and not that believable. All in all. Of course I love the series, so go ahead fans and read it.

Fun to read until the ridiculous finale, which made no sense. Sue Grafton is just great with wry humor and observations, marvelous, believable dialogue, and poetic descriptions. She weaves a very exciting plot which piques one's interest. Unfortunately , it all completely decompensates during the final twenty pages; employing Perils of Pauline silliness in confrontation with the villain, and leaving the reader thinking "HUH?"
In this case, the entire town's hostility remained unexplained. It seemed like Grafton got tired of writing and just patched together some nutty bizarre conclusion.

Not as good as some of her other books.

I have read many of her books this one is really boring too slow , I only can give 2 stars

I did not like this book as much as her others. I felt like the characters were confusing and superficial. The story kind of dragged. Glad robes one and happy to move on to O!

All elements too familiar. Seemed "mailed in"

definitely not her best work. I won't hold it against her though...I'll continue to read whatever she writes. This one however....save to the last. Not because it's good but quite the opposite. Predictable and well...kind of boring.

Not as suspenseful like the others. Boring subjects.
