| When reaching for a light mystery with several twists and turns Diane Mott Davidson is one of my favorite authors. Dark Torte fills the bill again. The recipes in her books are good as well and this book is no exception. The ongoing characters hold ones attention more each time I read one of Ms. Davidson's books. | ||||

| I have read all of the Goldy Schultz books and I have enjoyed each one. It is so much fun to read a series like this one. I know the characters and each new book is like touching base with people I know and care about. I look forward to each new adventure! The mysteries are interesting and fun to try to solve, but the people are what keep me coming back again and again. I can't wait until the next one! | ||||

| Feels like an outlined story that then has [insert distressed family member here] and [add protagonist perplexing here] and [introduce important denouement info here] just randomly sprinkled into outline. Relationship with policeman husband very stilted. Plus food was just not that appealing or engaging. Plus how could a caterer be so completely clueless on a missing recipe ingredient. Usage as a suspense building tool is a complete fail. Y I suspect that the author has run out of inspiration and is just phoning the story in based on her formula. Editor should be demoted for not tightening up story by about 300 percent. | ||||

| I am an avid fan of Goldy Schulz. These mysteries are suspenseful with a twist at the end, but most of all they are funny. Goldy is so believably normal, except for stumbling over dead bodies all of the time. Even though each mystery stands alone, I have come to like the regular characters and look forward to what is new in their lives. | ||||
