| I find it hard to believe that a Dale Down book could be riddled with typos like, "food my own horn." Joe Toro, Wendy's dad is former marine. There is no such thing as an ex Marine unless he had Boiled Chicken Dinner. Counted about thirty typos. Spell check is not you friend. | ||||

| I recognize this was written almost 30 years ago when in-flight technology was considerably different from today, or so I am told. Dale Brown, as a former Air Force Captain, pilot, and instructor, has a commanding grasp of aerial combat maneuvers and tactics; his descriptions of in-flight combat were impressive and riveting at times. My biggest issue with this book, however, is that it was poorly copy-edited and proofread. The punctuation is generally minimal and sometimes quite poor, and the number of typographical errors and misspellings is mind-boggling for an accomplished author and publisher. Character development is OK, but this is the fourth book in the series and the only one I have read. I likely will not read the others. | ||||

| I like the Dale Brown series but this book had numerous typos. I'm no grammar nazi but expect a best seller not to have as many errors as this print did. I lost count but I love the action of his books and have read many of them | ||||

| I liked the intricate plot and the cast of characters. The opening scenes reminded me of DeMille's "The Charm School". The description of the dogfights was particularly interesting. The flood of details and jargon is a bit overwhelming even for a career officer, and does little to advance the plot. Someone who liked the minute details presented here might give this more stars. | ||||

| This book didn’t start off well for me. I thought maybe because this is a first for me with this author and that I had to get adjusted to his writing style or maybe because I started of with book #4 of this series and I’m not use to the protagonist involved in this story whatever it was it started getting better like a quarter into the book. After adjusting to the writing style and getting use to the story about planes, planes and more planes, it became easy to follow. The characters were well developed especially the evil one. Some parts were drawn out and were really over extended with explanations but really did enjoy it and will continue the series. | ||||

| It was an interesting story, but certainly not very realistic. Of course, it is a fictional tale. The idea that a foreign agent could actually steal a sophisticated aircraft from a secure facility almost single handedly is rather far-fetched, but I went along with it. The battle scenes got way too detailed for my taste & I ended up skimming through the text. It may be better suited for someone who is more familiar with military aircraft. | ||||

| If a reader has little military experience, particularly "flight" vocabulary much of the page will have little meaning. The story of high level espionage is very entertaining and highly related to current Russian/American conflicts. I did feel the story would never end however was sufficiently interested to keep reading. It was worth the low price I paid. Lynn in Jacksonville | ||||
