| This book didn’t start off well for me. I thought maybe because this is a first for me with this author and that I had to get adjusted to his writing style or maybe because I started of with book #4 of this series and I’m not use to the protagonist involved in this story whatever it was it started getting better like a quarter into the book. After adjusting to the writing style and getting use to the story about planes, planes and more planes, it became easy to follow. The characters were well developed especially the evil one. Some parts were drawn out and were really over extended with explanations but really did enjoy it and will continue the series. | ||||

| This was a typical great book by Dale Brown, but I can't give it five stars due to the sheer number of typos. It seems that when the book was converted to Kindle format, it was never checked to make sure everything went properly. Otherwise - another great book in the series. | ||||

| I love Dale Brown's stories of the Air Force and the Patrick McLenahan stories! The story is all about the men flying F-15 fighter planes and a newly made experimental plane that the Russians try to get their hands on. Reading about the fighters up in the air flying makes me feel like I was right up there with them. It's a wonderful escape!! | ||||

| This story is quite different to the other ones in the Megafortress series. It all revolves around a new fighter with some rather unique qualities as well as a deep penetration soviet spy. The pace changes quite a bit from slowly building to all action, a number of times. The main character as well as the new fighter are deadly & there are a number of murders committed on the ground when people get in the way of the spy who is almost addicted to flying/protecting the new, only one in the world fighter. I was a little disappointed in the climax/ final dogfight, it was quite short compared to some of the others earlier in the story. I was reasonably happy with the ending because the spy gets his just deserts. | ||||

| I had to give up I'm afraid. If you're 16,or under have no knowledge of aviation beyond what you see on the Discovery Channel and don't need credible characters or a credible plot then this book is for you. | ||||
