Fantastic Air Force story. Keeps you guessing. I thought there were too many technical details through out the story . Many were confusing to the uninformed. Would have been more enjoyable if lingo was simpler. Otherwise was a good read.

Once again Dale Brown generates an interest in the story with many in's and out's of extreme action. It is extremely interesting.

Not sure about this book. He's definitely not Tom Clancy quality

Interesting story line but entire effort is compromised by both typographical and substantive errors. I've never seen such defective values in a published work.

Once again Dale Brown has given us a story that is hard to put down. I had read this before but it was just as thrilling today as then. As a side note it has been years since I read the Flight of the Old Dog, but was able to get a copy on line and am looking forward to reading the book that started this great series.

I feel there was too much technical information about the planes. Seemed like half the book was just about the features of both planes and then again during the exciting parts. It did have a good second half that kept you on the edge of your seat

I re-read this book after going back and re-reading Flight of the Old Dog. Well, if Old Dog held up really well, Cheetah didn't hold up quite as well. Don't get me wrong, it was solid, but it didn't blow me away. Eight years after the Old Dog, Brad Elliot is in charge of Dreamland. Of course the whole gang is there and Patrick McLanahan is running the Dreamstar project, basically a combination of a thought-controlled airplane and a next-generation jet with a lot more maneuverability and technology than the current version. Unfortunately the test pilot for Dreamstar is Kenneth James, who is actually a deep cover Soviet spy who was put in place before he even joined the Air Force Academy. The Russians come up with the idea that James should steal Dreamstar, since they haven't been able to replicate the technology with the information he's been giving them. He succeeds and then McLanahan has to chase him all over the Western hemisphere. There's a lot here. Sci-fi. Spy drama. Military jargon. An old-fashioned revenge novel. Some parts work better than ever. 25 years later, I'm not sure Dale Brown convinced me that a thought controlled airplane is better than one powered by a computer built in 2014. But the flying is good and the spy drama is good. Probably 3.5 stars overall.

I would have given this book 4 stars if it had been a little shorter. It seemed to go on for so long, with repetitive conflicts, that I began to lose interest toward the end. That said, it was a very good book.

Extremely exciting Military Aircraft of the future drama that is realistic and hard to put down. Detail of aircraft components and armament is amazing. Dale Brown gets high marks and then some. Can't wait to get my hands on his next book.

Spannend wie (fast) immer bei den frühen Büchern dieses Autors....für die Freunde dieser manchmal schon peinlich US-patriotischen Hightech Thriller ein klares MUSS.......

It has been a long time since I read Flight of the Old Dog. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed book by Dale Brown and Day of the Cheetah was no exception. McLanahan is a great character with great hero skills but still a few failings. Very believable. The air combat scenes were very exciting and written so that I almost felt like I was there. The electronic edition did have many typo and wrong word issues but I tried to overlook them.
