Great story. Love the characters, the way they interact, the story and original thinking. I really like the writing. I was laughing out loud at times. Refreshing read.

awesome title, awesome book

Quite apart from the intellectual scope of the book I found the detail of partly living in a virtual world interesting and amusing. The universe created in the book is far from complete but the bit you see works - as though we see a small and sometimes perplexing part of a universe that, in the background, someone has worked out in great detail. It is incomplete but convincing. As someone trying to get back into reading after years of being lost on the internet I found this a very good start.

Really cool book that was hard to put down. Hard to believe it hasn’t been made into a movie or series yet.

Thw idea of going into virtual reality was what tweaked my interest in the book. I started reading it and really go turned of about halfway through with the religious rants and the details of something I can care less about. I stopped reading it because the past 6 chapters I have read have been about religion and have put me to sleep.

Great book

The premise of this book and the way it combines everything is such a tale of mastery. Loved it very much.

Fun read. Interesting reading it in almost 30 years after it was published, definitely some areas that don't work viewed in today's lenses but overall a good story.

Reading Snow Crash I was surprised to discover it was written in the early 1990s. An author ahead of his time in predicting the direction of our cyber world. Fantastic sci-fi concepts. Skateboarders "pooning" tractor trailers on the San Diego Freeway in downtown L.A. It's almost an absurdist fantasy like a Pynchon rant, but Stephenson keeps it within the realm of true science fiction with a solid real world connection. Easier to read than Altered Carbon. If you consider yourself a science fiction afficiando, you must read Snow Crash. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Top of the line material.

The story seemed to lack continuity and direction. The story was not what I expected nor was it what I thought I was buying based on the description and reviews. I read it all the way through anyway and was very disappointed in the last 1/10 of the book and the ending.

I bought this as a gift for someone who really liked the book Ready Player One and they were disappointed and said this book is pretty boring. Maybe it gets better toward the end - but if you're buying this because you liked Ready Player One then maybe read a sample first.

Enjoyed the book. I recommend it for sci-fi fans.

The book starts off a little slow. Once you get into it then it is difficult to put down. Very thorough and entertaining. And unfortunately somewhat right about where we stand today
