After reading the Amazon e version I learned that the original version was a graphics novel filled with illustrations, unfortunately none are provided in the Amazon version. I feel I've been ripped off.

The story is terrific and despite being more than 20 years old still feels current.

Clearly a must read for all science fiction fans - a classic novel introducing the cyber world - even if it sis called "metaverse".

Classic work of science fiction. Slow in building up but hang with it. Cyberpunk at its best. That's twenty words.

What I Liked
I love the humor and the style of the content of this book. For the book as a whole, it is in paper back not bad at all and the price is just fine.

What I Didn't Like
I can't say it right now since I have not compared it yet to other book catering almost same content. So now none and I enjoyed reading this book.

I love reading the book, actually at first you will get confuse with how the story goes. This book is a must try.

Great settings, plots, and devices. A future world with struggling heroes. Is a virus medical, conceptual, linguistic, or all of the above?

Giving this book 2 stars is generous. I'm not a fan of the writing style and there were so many holes in the plot and timeline...well... I don't want to expend any more energy on this book than I already have. Anyway, that being said, the author gets a bonus star for having a vivid imagination, which I can respect. This feels like someone's first book. I'll try another of his books but I won't finish it if it is like this one.

Really, REALLY great! only regret not reading it sooner.

This book, i cannot even describe how amazing and mind opening to this simple yet adventurous view of what could happen to this great country we live in. Just started my 2nd read through,

It's a book.

Written like a comic book. Not my style, not realistic.

They put a slamhound on my trail as soon as I cracked the cover, keyed to my imagination and the color of my expectations. At it's core was a kilogram of flaked TNT that destroyed my ideas about what is, and is not, possible with the written word. This is a novel about the future, and how sadly inevitable it will seem to have been when we are there, looking back.

Be sure you have all your chores done and a hot pot of coffee when you start reading Snow Crash. You will not be able to put it down.

Early Neal Stephenson - I enjoyed it more re-reading 10 years after.

Good

The style kind of gets in the way of the substance, but you may like the style. Feels like it's been written by a really clever fourteen year old boy, but a must-read classic of the genre nonetheless.

If you like the cyber-punk genre, with the exception of one or two other titles, it really doesn't get any better than this. Fascinating story concept, peculiar main characters, including the villain. Fast pace, changing landscapes and story twists. You cannot call yourself a lover of cyber-punk and not have read this book.

Lost me pretty quickly. Not my stile.

Good book! Also suggest you read Cryptonomicon!

Awesome book, still holds up so well almost 25 years on.
