夢殿殺人事件

著者の有名どころの短編を押さえられるいい本だと思いました。
コラボカバーだけが不満です。笑、それは仕方ないか。

題名に冠された夢殿と言えば、普通は聖徳太子を供養する法隆寺の八角堂のことだと思うが、本作の寂光庵は法隆寺となんの関係もない。
　寂光庵は「新薬師寺を彷彿とさせる天平建築」だとのことで、法隆寺とは建築様式も時代もズレているように思うが……。

　なかなかトンデモが詰まった一篇。
　すでに本作を読む頃には、小栗作品の不思議現象をまともに読み解こうとしても仕方がないことは悟っていたので、一見奇跡を思わせる現象も逆に心に残らず、この感想を書くにあたって、拾い読みし直して様々な“不思議”を再発見する始末……。

　ラストに法水が思わせぶりに伏字を使って、「あの女には〇〇〇〇〇待ってやる方がいいよ」なんて言葉を残しているが、よくわからない。
　犯人の自害を想定しているということでよいのかな？

どうも仕掛けトリックはイメージしずらいのでよく解らないのだけれども、正統ミステリーだとは思う。真偽のほどが定かではない文献などが出てきたり、犯人の動機の異様さもこの作家らしい。

Though I am an avid reader, I have difficulties lately in falling into a book. Within a couple of pages or a chapter, I lose focus or interest and put down whatever I’m reading.
This book truely was one of the best reads in a long time for me. I hated putting it down.

I have already purchased 2 copies to send as gifts to friends and got the audible version so I can listen in the car on my commute to work.

雰囲気は「らしさ」が出ているが、少々わかり辛いところもあった。読むのに疲れる。

多くのことを詰め込みすぎたようで，ついていけませんでした。
終わってみるとあまり理解できていないようです。
もう一回読むとわかるかもしれません。
