Very topically this is about the expansionist ideas of modern Russia with the Ukraine and other former satellite states under threat. woven in is the introduction of women to combat roles in the US and the Americans awakening to what has been going on in Europe. | This book was written before the current events in the Ukraine and yet it seemed to anticipate to some extent what is now happening over there. Also the characterization of the president and first lady is such that it makes me wonder if the current occupants of the White House are being depicted. I found the story somewhat enjoyable, however some of the events seemed lacking in believability. | ||||
