I read this for the first time in the early 80's and have kept the paperback version till now. It is totally decrepit these days, so have now downloaded onto my kindle to read again. I know it's one of my all time favourites (& I say this a lot) but it definitely delivers in the tension department. I will never loose this book. An oldie but a goodie!

Arrived, good condition for a 45 year old paperback, reasonably delivery time given distance of travel. Bookmark inserted. I am pleased.

Refreshing to know that uncut/unedited versions of controversial books are available digitally for purchase. Kudos to Amazon prime!

With all the Wallace style, sometimes crude and explicit narrative of a dream once conceived and the adventure this became, so recommendable

I read this book a good many years ago so was quite surprised to see it still in reading circulation. I can confirm it was yet again a brilliant read a story line that many have tried to repeat ,although not to the same standard. I can readily recommend this book it won't disappoint.

I first read The Fan Club in 1980. It was a pass around paperback in my Military unit. I loved it, and have re read it countless times. Now, I've had the pleasure of listening to the wonderful reading by Mr. Eric Dove. He captures the personalities, voices and inflection of the characters almost exactly as I've envisioned them.

Boas descrições dos personagens mas um pouco alongado demais. As "cenas" sexuais são monótonas e não transmitem muito bem as emoções dos personagens. No entanto, bastante bem "montadas". O autor tem uma imaginação fértil.

Engrossing till end. Though slow to start, once when on is gripping, taking unexpected turns till end.

George Bernard Shaw said it best! "There are two tragedies in life!" "One is not to get your hearts desire!" "The other is to get it!" Read the book and you will understand!

How naive can some men be taken in by lust of the ONLY actress in the world. Four men of different backgrounds, age and social status are hooked into believing that a beautiful woman would have sex with them. Then have a Police Squad type bumbling around and find the prize. No actress is that kind angelic to her fans.

One of the best books of Irving Wallace. I put it in the same level as "The Second Lady" , if not a bit higher. The end is unpredictable. I strongly recommend it for those who enjoy this kind of reading.
