Not my favorite.

I am a huge fan of James Lee Burke’s books, but this one was not his best, IMO. The crime investigation part was good, but the visions of Confederate soldiers in the mist and Robicheaux’s conversations with the general were odd, and didn’t seem to add anything to the story. Without them, I guess the title of the book wouldn’t make any sense.
