| I loved this book. In fact, James Lee Burke is my all time favorite author. Waiting for new books to come out, I re-started reading his earlier novels and I am enjoying it tremendously. Excellent story line, walking between the 1860's and the present. So well done! Highly recommend! | ||||

| I am a huge fan of James Lee Burke’s books, but this one was not his best, IMO. The crime investigation part was good, but the visions of Confederate soldiers in the mist and Robicheaux’s conversations with the general were odd, and didn’t seem to add anything to the story. Without them, I guess the title of the book wouldn’t make any sense. | ||||

| The most honest review I could come up- I am in a constant struggle concerning whether to keep reading the Dave Robicheaux books until I am out or savoring them slowly. The savoring is winning thus far. | ||||

| A friend recommended James Lee Burke. I read the first Dave Robicheaux book and was hooked. I am now on book 7, “Dixie City Jam.” I love love these books with the flawed but smart, impetuous and hard driving main character. “In the Electric Mist” is highly recommended. | ||||
