The book arrive within 5 days of ordering it, which was good. As for this book, and its genre of Science Fiction, based loosely on Computer hacking, viruses, Mafia, Religion, Morality, sex, it fails utterly to have even a half believable story. YT and Hiro are the heroes, they are the original pizza delivery guys, and then YT gets involved with Uncle Enzo, the Mafia chief. I tried to visualise it as a bit like the graphic image film Sin City, but this was poorly researched and very dragged out. I only purchased it as I’m in a Book Club, and am ashamed to admit I voted for this book based on its title. Avoid this nonsensical story, and give to charity instead.

I bought this brand new with Prime and the cover was torn!

Guess I was expecting more. I’ve read so much about this book over the years and it didn’t live up to the reputation for me. Perhaps getting dated. Interestingly he did predict the emergence of innovations in skateboards which we see today. Not specifically but generally - nobody is harpooning cars for a ride just yet :-) Perhaps it’s better to pick up one of his new novels to enjoy the speculation on future innovations more.

Very fragmented story, not easy to follow thru. It has some interesting chapters but overall too long of a read. I wouldn't recommend it.

Dabei bin ich auf Snow Crash aufmerksam geworden.

Bis zu Seite 153 hab ich es geschafft. Dann habe ich aufgegeben.

Dieses Buch ist langweiliger als ein Telefonbuch.

Absolute Zeitverschwendung

There's only two novels that I've had to stop reading in my life, this is one of them. This book begins to take an odd slant on religion midway through and consistently tries to make analogies about STD's. It's a strange combination of uncomfortable and boring. Stay away from this book if your looking for a fun and interesting read.

Someone might like this book but in my opinion it has little of no interest for me. It moves slowly and the writer seems to be communicating with some "friends" of his who have wished to have similar experiences. I did not and do not.

I found it incredibly hard to read. It was more like stream of consciousness than a real novel, and it was very uneven. The characters were not fleshed out, nor were they very likeable. If there is a sequel I will not bother reading it.

Very poor

It's a slog to get to the end, not sure I will bother. Which will make it the first book in 15 years I don't finish. So disappointing.

One of the most frustrating books I've ever read. I don't really understand what the fuss is about. Maybe his other books are good.

The pages in this book are out of order. There is a massive binding error.

Worst book I’ve ever read. About 90% of the weird storyline was completely unnecessary and I honestly read the whole thing in hopes that at some point it would all make sense. It didn’t. I can’t like a story just for the sake of trying to find some creative appreciation of what the author was trying to do. The book was just terrible and I only bought it because it had good reviews and I like sci fi books. Never again.
