| Great mystery. Loved the coastal setting. Author kept me guessing as to whom the murderer was. Surprise ending! Congrats to writer! | ||||

| This book was just OK. It seems that there was no editing prior to publishing, typos and grammar mistakes all throughout. Also, I wish Carolyn didn’t find it necessary to use so many swear words, as used by the characters. Finally, she introduces so many characters that it is difficult to keep it straight and try to guess “who done it”. She does continue to be a good writer, however. | ||||

| Years ago I started reading this Death on Demand series. I had to skip this one because I never came across it anywhere. My library didn't have it until recently. I wasn't going to pay a high price for it, however. Then I saw it on sale for just a couple of dollars for my Kindle and I grabbed it. It is a very good story ... worth the wait. | ||||

| I always enjoy Ms. Hart’s mysteries. This was no exception. It was not, however, her best. There was a lot going on in the story and sometimes seemed odd. There were many typos as well which was distracting. But I did enjoy the story and getting to visit with the Darlings was a pleasure. | ||||

| Carolyn Hart's books are always beautifully written with intriguing plots. I have read most of the Death on Demand series, but only recently picked up this one. I can't say that I like Annie Darling very much. She hasn't matured much over the course of the series. She continues to fly off the handle, so to speak, with very little provocation, and never learns to avoid putting herself needlessly into very dangerous situations. Nevertheless, Ms Hart's beautiful descriptions and we'll designed plots keep me coming back for more. | ||||

| I love this book and series. Ms. Hart has created wonderful characters, a page-turning plot, and an ideal setting to keep people reading until the very end. The ending surprised me because the author is adept at misdirection. As a stickler for editing, I found little to no mistakes in this story. | ||||

| Love the books by Carolyn Hart! This one is a little rambling at times and some of the characters don't fully develop. It may be an advantage to read this early one after the later ones, you know who's who. | ||||

| I got this book for free when it was offered on one of my Facebook favorite walls. I read like there is no tomorrow and even more since I got my Kindle. Amazon offers free books all the time, which gives you an opportunity to check out new and/or different authors you might not normally know or read. I loved this book and will continue to read this author. I gladly pay for more of this author's work! | ||||

| This is the fourth book I have read in the series. I started out with April Fool dead which I liked and it led me to start the series. The first one was good, the second and third, pretty good,but when she killed off kittens for seemingly no reason, I was rather upset. She killed off a pet in another one to show the meaness of of the killer but this one was rather extra. I thought I would like this author as I like light mystery, but she does not always really explain thoroughly how she came to the conclusion. It was rather muddled and since she seems to be adding her new husband to the mix, I fear it will muddle more. I realize the book is slightly dated but good period mystery like Christie come about because of the times, not in spite of it. I just found myself flipping to the end just to get to the end. | ||||
