A well written tight plot, with all the techno jargon that gives authenticity to this tale of international intrigue and political warfare.
A must read for lovers of the Clancy genre.

Really enjoyed how in depth it was. It touched my soul. I would really like to check out the next book as well.

Some good moments but generally over descriptive

As almost all of Dale Brown novels, this one is also excellent

Started out enjoying this book like I had when I discovered dale brown a couple of years ago.however quickly got tired with the over use of acronyms and technical information.

Always interesting when Dale demonstrated to us the power of our weapons and how easily we could be drawn into a nuclear conflict

This book was not up to normal standards of Dale Brown. It was drawn out and convoluted in many ways. Characters we have grown close to over the years were flat and lifeless like Becky Furness and Daren Mace. If this was his first book it would also be the last for me. I can only hope he will return to the excitement of the past.

Would not recommend. Part numbers, plane types get old very quickly, with little action. Dale Brown seems to have run out of action ideas.

The story line was all right, but the book seemed to drag on. This certainly was not a page turner that kept me up late into the night. My biggest beef with the author was how he characterized the President and the first lady. There was no doubt that who he was describing from real life, but it was very obvious in his writing how much he personally did not like them. For example, how the president from a insignificant souther state sat during briefings eating snack food and drinking diet cokes, while "Steel Magnolia" was actually the most influential person in the room and had complete control over her husband. I just wish that the author could have kept his personal agenda out of the book and kept to the story line.

I enjoyed the plot line of international military commands, however, I found the technical aspects of flying the planes to be overwhelming. The story line appeared to take second place to the minutiae of maneuvering planes. Overall, disappointing as I enjoyed many of his other books.

Dale Brown writes tight military aviation thrillers. This one did not disappoint. Fast paced and a real page turner, races right up to the end.

Too technical

It had so many acronyms and military terms it detracted from the story and made it a difficult read.

Continues Brown's excellent stories about the hi tech USAF. Highly recommended. Just hope that it doesn't become true!
Looking forward to the sequel.

riveting enjoyable close to the truth in some scenes

Great as always. The problem is maybe to true. We elect people who would sale their souls on the political cross God help us if even a tenth has any merit

Typical of Mr. Brown, a really high tension tale, full of twists and turns. Can't believe I waited so long to read it.

A real page Turner, could not put it down. Only complaint, too much vulgar language, would have been better without it and still been a excellent book. E

Most of the book was enjoyable ,other than all the technical jargon. The president's wife actions were totally unbelievable and totally out of character to the story. Expected more from Dale Brow.
